Lindsay and Lee both tell a slightly different story to how they met. Lindsay thinks it was at a swing dance workshop weekend in Athens in 2018. Lindsay asked Lee to dance (and unbeknownst to her, Lee has some crowd anxiety and the dance floor was very full) and he said no. They next time they saw each other was at the Georgia Tech swing dance where again Lindsay asked and Lee did say yes. Lee just remembers the first time she asked out of town. But they kept bumping into each other at Hot Jam on Mondays and exchanged polite conversation. But January of 2019 was were it really started. Most people, after Hot Jam, all go to Fellini’s Pizza for a late night snack. Lindsay hadn’t gone before and decided that that night in January she was going to go. Lee always went. Because his favorite food is pizza (he constantly asks for it when Lindsay asks what he wants for dinner). It just so happened after enjoying a slice, Lindsay got up to leave and Lee, who was further down the table, did too. Lindsay asked him if he was leaving and if he would walk her to her car. He agreed and then they spent the next 20 minutes talking. Three days later, Lee asked Lindsay out for coffee. Which is ironic because neither of them drink coffee (Lindsay is an avid tea drinker and Lee prefers a coke for caffeine intake.) They hit it off and decided that life together was pretty good.
